What the evidence supports
The executive order established the President's Military Spouse Commission to advise on policies affecting military spouses and families.
The signed August 3 order creates the commission and directs it to advise the president on housing, employment, health care, education, deployment support and military-family quality of life.
In 15 months, not one person had come through the southern border illegally.
DHS and CBP reported 9,848 Border Patrol apprehensions along the southwest border in June 2026 alone. The administration's zero figure referred to releases after apprehension, not to illegal crossings or apprehensions.
Every service member received a $1,776 Warrior Dividend last Christmas.
About 1.45 million service members received the payment, but eligibility was limited to active-duty members at pay grade O-6 or below and qualifying reserve members on active-duty orders. The payment was real, but 'every service member' erased those limits.
The United States and Iran were talking at Iran's request on August 3.
Trump said direct talks were underway at Iran's request, while Iran's Foreign Ministry said its negotiations were with Oman, not the United States.
